Discover some of the best splitboarding trails in the Romanian Carpathian
mountains together with specialized mountain guides. Having peaks with
altitudes over 2500 m, our mountains will give you complete satisfaction.
From the steepest valleys, to the deepest forests, our Carpathians will offer
a complete range of epic landscapes. If the
weather conditions won’t allow it, then in the backup stage we have really
good spots up in the mountains which will allow access to safe areas with good conditions.

Access to most of the trails is by splitboard, combined with a few cable car transfers, so you should be in a good physical shape and riding level.

The avalanche equipment is mandatory (probe, shovel and transceiver) and a helmet. We recommend an airbag backpack. We have available to hire avalanche safety equipment at a separate cost.

Daily schedule
Splitboarding all day
Day 1 - Welcome In Romania!
On day 1 we get to know each other. Our team will wait for
you at the airport and bring you to Sinaia, at our Boarder’s Cottage accomodation. Here, depending on what you want to do, you can choose to visit the city highlights or chill out and preparing your equipment. Nevertheless we need to decide together the itineraries for the next days, so after lunch, time for a brief briefing!
Day 2 - Ciucas Mountains – 700m Downhill and Uphill
Ciucaș is the mountain where you will always find good snow and safe places with no risk of avalanche. The climbs are smooth and in a good day you can make up to 4-5 descents. The highest peak is at an elevation of 1.954m and from the main ridge you can choose between the south side, or the north sided faces.
Day 3 - Bucegi Freeride Arena - 1900m Downhill / 900m Uphill
We change the mountain but keep the snow and good vibe. The options are endless, we suggest multiple ascents up to 2.200m altitude and descents to diferent valleys of Bucegi Natural Park, sometimes using the cable car options for more riding. We’ll have optional lunch at Padina area before the shuttle back to Sinaia.
Day 4 - Baiului Mountains, Azuga Ski Resort – 1000m Downhill / 600m Uphill
Azuga Resort backcountry lines and Baiului mountains ridges are a wonderfull option for the following day. As we said, the riding options are countless. We suggest a ride in which uphill endurance and riding adrenalin go hand in hand. Going up with the gondola followed by the splitboarding ascent to the ridge will make you gladly look forward to the multiple downhill and up runs, folowed in the final by some epic tree runs to end up back to our starting point in Azuga.
Day 5 - Balea Freeride Arena - 1100m Downhill / 650m Uphill
One long day trip that will move us 150 km away on the Fagaras mountains, at the famous Balea Lake area, located at 2000 m altitude, place with one of the best high alpine and snow climate in Romania and hope that the sun will also accompany us. The view is awesome, Făgăraș mountains full of snow are spectacular. You’ll enjoy a stunning wild alpine panorama and the ridge will make you feel like you’re on top of the world and we assure you that the descents are long and exciting. Similar with the last days, depending on how you feel, we can go for one or more rides optionally combined with the cable car facilities. We can have a lunch at one of the 2 challets in the area. Taking into account that the area is wilder, we should also pack more supplies with us: tea, biscuits and chocolate are recommended.
Day 6 - Departure day - airport transfer
Depending on your flight departure, we can have an optional visit to the Peles Royal castle in Sinaia. Then airport transfer and … and thanks for coming and hope to see you soon again!
