Daily schedule
On the first day, we will start from our Boarder’s Cottage accommodation in Sinaia and we will have an avalanche search workshop on the slope, where we will test our avalanche rescue equipment, and then assess our riding skills in an accommodation tour on the slopes, then ride down a forest run towards our chalet accommodation. Your compulsory individual gear must include the standard avalanche emergency kit: DVA transceiver, probe and shovel. Optional, we can stop for dinner at Taverna Sarbului traditional restaurant. Afterwards we shall decide together the schedule for the next two days.
On the second day, after a consistent breakfast we will start from the chalet in Sinaia and we’l take the gondola lift up to Cota 2000 mountain top. Than we will approach the routes based on your experience – for those looking for new lines and secret spots, Sinaia is a heaven with numerous places between Bucegi and Baiului mountains. For those who want to learn and progress we have enough time to convince you that off piste snowboarding is your new hobby! We will have the lunch break on the mountain with the goodies from our backpack and we will end the day with an epic long descent, all the way down to the famous Peles castle, from where we have 10 min. walk back to our Boarder’s Cottage accommodation.
The third day is dedicated to the beautiful Baiului mountains, next door neighbors to the Bucegi National Park. We start the climb with the gondola in Azuga remote resort and hike after up to the ridge where we will be greeted by a breathtaking view of the surrounding valleys and mountain ranges. The descent follows the long mellow ridges covered with snow, before hitting a few epic powdered tree runs in the wild forest, our secret spots, then back to the shuttle driving us to our accommodation in Sinaia. After lunch, there is an optional visit to the Sinaia’s Peles Castle, the residency of the Romanian monarchs (15 EUR).

Discover some of the best backcountry runs of Romania. The Carpathian Mountains are among the wildest mountains in Europe. Because backcountry ridingis not so popular yet, our country can offer you the freedom western countries have lost years ago. Hidden paths and virgin woods will be on the menu every day. From the steepest valleys, to the deepest forests, the Carpathians will offer a complete range of landscapes even to the most skeptical rider. In case of bad weather, we have really good backup spots up in the mountains which will allow access to safe areas.
